The article deals with an Erasmus + project meant to increase the resilience of the socio-economic systems nearby protected areas and Natura 2000 sites, based on traditional farming, traditional recipes and updated knowledge produced by the numerous partners gathered together. The aim of this article is to disseminate the preliminary results and the main events organized under this large umbrella of Erasmus initiative. VALOR has joined experts from Romania, Greece, Italy, Germany, Spain, Turkey and Cyprus. The goal of the project is to develop curricula for mangers and technicians specialized in eco-farming, within or without eco-labeling or certification. The courses will be organized mainly online, which is a great advantage for practitioners. The main challenge is to define common occupational standards across all partners countries and, the virtual study visits, described in the article, were good opportunities to figure out what can be learned from each partner country.
