| Abstrakt: | A biography of fiction writer Cynthia Leitich Smith is presented. Smith was born on December 31, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri. She is a citizen of the Oklahoma-based Muscogee Creek Nation and began writing at an early age. She enrolled at the University of Kansas, Lawrence after graduation from high school, majoring in journalism with a concentration in English. Her works include "Jingle Dancer," "Rain Is Not My Indian Name," and "Indian Shoes." |
