Abstrakt: A ramjet engine is the simplest of all respiratory jet engines that doesn't consists of any rotating components; rather, it makes use of the engine's forward movement to compress the incoming air. Inlet cones are a factor of a few supersonic plane and missiles and they are more often than not used on ramjets. In this paper the primary goal is to design inlet cone of ramjet engine with cone angle 30,32,33 and 34 degree and to analyse with three different Mach numbers M=2, 2.5 and 3 at cold flow. The design and analysis of inlet spike is carried out in 2-D with in CATIA & ANSYS FLUENT software. Based on the formation of oblique shocks at the inlet cone and the pressure plots we observed that good pressure recovery is obtained at 34 degree cone angle at M= 2.5. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
