Abstrakt: The study of MR (Magneto-rheological) damper suspension systems, as well as the synthesis of MR fluid, is presented in this paper. When acted upon by an external magnetic field, MR fluid will change its apparent viscosity until it becomes a viscoelastic solid. With the help of MR fluids, a semi-active damper whose coefficient of damping could be altered based on the driving environment can be designed for having better handling and comfort. In this paper, we try to overcome the various drawbacks of MR fluids like Sedimentation, Coagulation, and friction between the CI (Carbonyl Iron) particles which are suspended in silicone oil with the help of various additives and grafting multi-walled carbon nano-tubes on the CI particles. This enables us to design a damper that can operate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
