Abstrakt: Due to the development of Electric Vehicles, technological developments related to zinc-air batteries have gained importance and attention in recent years. The focus is mainly on the challenges of the electrically rechargeable zinc-air batteries in alkaline electrolytes. The main objective of this work is to develop a rechargeable Zinc-Air Battery (ZnAB). Zinc is considered for the anode material. Stainless steel mesh with Nickel coating is taken and activated carbon and polyvinyl alcohol is blended and pasted over the mesh which acts as a gas diffusion layer. This plate acts as the air electrode. To make the Zinc-air battery rechargeable, two air electrodes are used, so that one is used for charging and the other for discharging. This work includes simulation and experimental investigation of zinc–air batteries with aqueous potassium hydroxide as an electrode. The design of the metal-air battery proposed in this study is to reduce the corrosion of the electrode, dendritic growth at the anode, improve the performance of bifunctional air electrode and electrolyte.
