Sustainable development cannot be achieved solely through technology, political regulation or financial mechanisms. Humanity needs to change the way we think and behave. This, in turn, requires universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy, in line with SDG 7, while the COVID-19 pandemic has prompted a new perspective on energy security. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the urgent need for an affordable and reliable energy supply is becoming increasingly evident. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the energy sector and the current conditions of the new energy transition model forced us to take a fresh look at energy security issues. Ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all is key to social and economic progress. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
