Disinfection process with UV-C The disinfection of samples by UV-C lamp was managed in a cabinet in which UV-C lamp of 15 watt was settled for the UV irradiation. B I Addition to the evaluation of the disinfection efficiencies the SEM images of cotton fabrics after disinfection processes were viewed as well. i b Results and discussion The disinfection efficiency of the samples was examined by measuring the bacteria reduction in comparison with the blank processes. Later, bacterially contaminated cotton samples were subjected to disinfection at different durations with ozone and UV-C. As a result of these disinfection procedures, it has been observed that, especially by using ozone gas, very high levels of disinfection effects can be obtained against the tested bacteria species even in very short periods of ozonation.
