Abstrakt: Purpose of the research is to give details on level and last developments of democracy around the globe, Albania included, related to human rights. Approach used is based on relations between freedom and human rights, as basis of Theory of Democracy. The future of democracy is a debate as old as it consistently. During the debate, various parties have held and hold different attitudes, but the thought that mainly predominates between the parties is that democracy will be dominant in the near future in most of the globe and in the distant future will prevail in all the globe. Waves of democracy that has gone around the world have shown that there is an atmosphere of pro-democracy among different peoples, democracy has advantages compared with other systems antidemocratic tendencies have further strengthening democracy and the problems of functioning democracy pushes us towards continuous improvement. The scope of democracy in time and space has also encountered barriers where there are different ways to cope them. Structural problems of democracy have to do with the notion of the nation, the complex nature of the system, the instability of the numbers in democratic political processes, etc, but the most important thing is to have a functional democracy as a base to service for citizenship, viewed this in terms of Albania's integration and of globalization. The major result and implications is that waves of democracy will continue and this will help establishing human rights and respecting them around the globe, Albania included. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
