Abstrakt: A riveted joint obtained by high-temperature riveting is considered. A rivet is placed in the hole in the plates at room temperature, heated to 900 °C. When it shrinks when cooled to room temperature, it creates a firmly tight connection. With the use of the COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS software package, which implements the finite element method, the heat-strength elastoplastic contact problem in the volume formulation has been solved. Residual stress fields in connection details are obtained. It is shown that the equivalent stresses are close to the ultimate strength of the material of these parts. The analysis of axial stresses confirms the possibility of creating a high-temperature strong-tight connection. Recommendations are given for calculating the strength of such joints.
