Abstrakt: ZrCo-based hydrides exhibit superior hydrogen storage performance owing to their low dissociation equilibrium pressure, fast hydrogen recovery kinetics, and tritium storage stability.[21] Therefore, the ZrCo alloy was selected by the international thermonuclear experimental reactors (ITERs) team as an important alternative getter material.[[22]] The results obtained from simulations[21] are expected to promote practical applications of the double layered ZrCo hydride bed. A particular attention is paid to the alkaline and RE-metal binary hydride phases and ternary hydride systems that can be synthesized by alloying these binaries with another metal or a main group element. About 100 years later, it was found that compounds like RCo SB 5 sb , RT SB 2 sb (T = 3d metal) and some others are capable of forming hydrogen-rich hydride phases containing from 1.5 to 2.5 mass percent of hydrogen.[[7], [9]] Currently, many hydride compounds are known to have excellent capacities for absorbing a large amount of hydrogen and storing it safely. B. Magnetism in transition metal hydrides Intermetallic compounds of 4f rare earth (RE) and 3d metals are characterized by a combination of a high localized magnetic moment of the rare-earth sublattice with itinerant magnetism of the 3d metal.
