For a VT35 alloy, the alloying element content range that is most significant for achieving an increased dynamic strength is statistically determined. To achieve a balanced set of properties, which ensures an increased dynamic strength of the VT35 alloy, alloying is found to be performed at the lower limit of the permissible range. Temperature–time conditions for hardening heat treatment are determined to achieve an ultimate tensile strength of about 1300 MPa at a relative reduction of area of 16% and an impact strength of 0.3 MJ/m2.
