Molecular dynamics simulation of the changes in a α-Fe surface layer during short-time high-energy action is performed. The developed model enables us to reveal the continuity violation of the surface layer, which consists in excess free volume localization in the form of spherical pores. The sizes of these imperfections and the duration of their existence are substantially dependent on the radiation energy density and the deformation of a calculation cell. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
