Abstrakt: A study is performed of the catalytic activity of a natural zeolite (clinoptilolite) modified by means of ion exchange with Mn2+, Mg2+, Li+, and Ni2+ cations in the oxidative conversion of methane to 1,4‑butanediol using molecular oxygen. It is found that clinoptilolite with silicate modulus λ = 10.8, 80–85% crystallinity, 8 wt % Mn2+, 7 wt % Li+, and 8 wt % Ni2+ exhibits relatively high catalytic activity in the considered reaction. Kinetic patterns of the reaction on the specified catalyst are studied and its main routes are identified. Based on an analysis of experimental data, a kinetic scheme of the stepwise mechanisms of each route of the reaction is proposed, and a theoretically substantiated kinetic model of the process is developed.
