Abstrakt: Cleft lip and palate are the most frequent congenital anomalies of the face. They may be either unilateral or bilateral and involve either lip or palate or both lip and palate. These orofacial clefts can occur as a part of a syndrome or isolated clefts. Multidisciplinary management should be considered in cleft lip and palate patients to fully ensure speech and hearing, the continuation of occlusion and maxillofacial growth. All branches of dentistry treat cleft lip and palate sequentially at various stages of life. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
