Abstrakt: The laboratory experiment was conducted in the Bio-control Laboratory, Department of Entomology, A.N.D.U.A. & T., Kumarganj, Ayodhya; a starter colony of H. armigera used in the study was maintained on a semi-synthetic diet such as chickpea leaves, chickpea grain, chickpea flour and wheat flour with temperature 20 ± 25 0C and RH 75 ± 5%. A total of 300 larvae were used for NPV production. They were reared individually on NPV contaminated artificial diet in a multi-cellular tray provided with a concentration of 1.66 × 106 PIBs/larva during 2019-20 and 2020-21. It is seen the average PIB count obtained per larva ranged from 0.96 × 109 to 3.12 × 109 with an average of 1.947 × 109 . The production ratio was obtained at 1:584 during 2019-20. While it showed full-grown thirty NPVs infected larvae were randomly collected at periodic intervals and total PIBs were harvested from them. It is seen the average PIB count obtained per larva ranged from 0.95 × 109 to 2.89 × 109 with an average of 1.780 × 109 . The production ratio was obtained at 1:534 in 2020-21. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
