Abstrakt: The experiments were carried out during two consecutive years 2018 and 2019 at NDF, Kalyanpur of CSAUAT, Kanpur to study the population dynamics of thrips during kharif season on groundnut crop. The thrips population was started since the vegetative stage during 31st SW and continued till 46th SW and 30th SW and continued till 44th SW, of the maturity stage in 2018 and 2019, respectively. The maximum population of 3.3 thrips/5 plants was recorded during 41st SW in 2018 and 4.6 thrips/5 plants was recorded at 38th SW during 2019 at that time 340C, 29.30C maximum temperature and 19.80C, 24.10C minimum temperature was recorded and the average relative humidity was recorded in terms of 77, 89 per cent, while total rainfall was observed 0.0, 20.4 mm, respectively, in both years. The correlation matrix indicated a significant positive correlation with maximum temperature (r =0.501) with thrips. However, non significant negative correlation was observed with minimum temperature (r = -0.169) and total rainfall (r = -0.435), while significant negative correlation was found with average relative humidity (r = -0.649).
