Phase change microcapsules were prepared by suspension polymerization with polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) as wall material and octane (C18) as core material. The amount of emulsifier, emulsification revolution and core-wall ratio (m (C18 ):m (PMMA)) on the particle size, surface morphology and thermal properties of the microcapsules were investigated, and the chemical structure and crystal structure, thermal stability, thermal cycling and compactness of the microcapsules were characterized and analyzed. The results show that the emulsifier mass fraction 4. 8%, emulsification rotation 3 000 r/min, core-wall ratio (m(C18) : m(PMMA) 1:1 prepared phase transition microcapsules with phase transition temperature of 24.7 °C, latent heat of phase transition of 169.13 J/g, energy storage efficiency (Een) of 76.4%, coating rate (Een) of 79.78%, heat storage capacity (Ces) of 95.76%, with high enthalpy value and excellent cycle stability. It is expected to be used as raw materials for the preparation of intelligent temperature regulating textiles. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
