Ultrasonic and laser sensors measurement errors detection.

Abstrakt: The technological operation of positioning the spreader relative to the container is still not automated, however, when reloading containers according to the "ship-to-warehouse" option, situations occur when the emerging heel or trim of the vessel becomes critical and the time of the reloading operation increases, or the reloading process stops until the critical values are eliminated roll or trim. The proposed work describes in detail the implementation of a laboratory sample of a load-gripping device capable of calculating the plane of the container and setting its plane parallel to the calculated one. The article describes a test that provides a comparative analysis of ultrasonic and laser distance sensors. The test results are aimed at confirming the correctness of the choice of laser sensors in the development of a laboratory sample of a self-stabilizing load-handling device. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
