Motorcycle safety is one of the problems of many riders today. Many people use a motorcycle in terms of transportation because a motorcycle can easily pass on heavy traffic. However, in terms of security, the motorcycle becomes weak. Base on television reports motorcycle is quickly taken even in a parking area. A motorcycle rider cannot guarantee that their motorcycle is secured after they park. This study is aimed to develop a design that can add more security to the motorcycle. The motorcycle system with face recognition for engine ignition has a microcontroller, the OpenMv camera that helps the system attain. The OpenMv camera will recognize the face of a rider when they use the motorcycle. If the OpenMv cannot remember the face of the rider, the motorcycle will never startup. The rider can gain more confidence to live their motorcycle anywhere with the help of the system. The test results show that the system can recognize the valid owner of the motorcycle through face recognition. The test results of other faces also show that the system never starts the engine if the face is not matched to face programmed data. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
