Abstrakt: An image fusion technique is utilized to solve the depth of field issue with cameras, where related features from two input images are merged to form a single image with all of the essential details of the input images. Image Fusion states that to produce a compelling image with two or more images of the same scene with varying focuses are merged, in terms of visual perception and efficiency, the resulting merged image improved. Image fusion applications are not limited to biomedical imaging and medical diagnostics; they extended to fields like remote sensing, pattern recognition, multi-focus image integration, and many more. This paper discussed the advantages and drawbacks of newly arrived existing methods in transforming domain and spatial domain image fusion, universal acceptable flowchart for image fusion obtained from the literature. The advantages and limitations of the recently arriving transform domain and spatial domain image fusion approaches were detailed in this article. The authors finally found a universal acceptable flowchart for image fusion that can be used in publications. Suggestions are provided based on existing research needs for credible performance, balanced with an acceptable amount of time and effort. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
