Abstrakt: This ethnobotanical and ethnopharmacological study was carried out between 2015 and 2017 in the High Atlas Central of Morocco. Its main objective was to assess the potential of this region in medicinal plants used specifically in the treatment of diseases of the respiratory system. In this region, 41 plants divided into 24 families and 38 genera were identified. The most represented families are: Lamiaceae (9 species), Apiaceae and Asteraceae (4 for each one). While the plants most used for the treatment of respiratory tract infections are Eucalyptus globulus Labill., Marrubium vulgare L. and Ficus carica L. the most commonly used method of preparation is decoction, while leaves are the most commonly used parts.
