Abstrakt: In this work, the effects of array‐side thin film design on the transmittance and picture quality improvement were studied by optical simulation and experimental verification based on IGZO‐TFT displays. The results show that the maximum transmittance increase of array‐side and modular optics is about 10% through optimizing thin film thickness and refractive design based on light interference cancellation principle. As a result, the power consumption is reduced noticeably without any additional cost. Moreover, the transmittance at different wavelengths can also be modulated by adjusting thin film thickness and refractive design. By this way, higher picture quality panels with higher color gamut and lower blue light can be obtained by matching with color filter of suitable spectrums. This research results provides theoretical basis and experience reference for IGZO‐TFT displays quality improvement. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
