The article presents an interview with Ayanna F. Brown, associate professor of education at Elmhurst University and a National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Black Caucus leader who moderated the 2022 virtual National African American Read-In program. Topics include the goal of the program to encourage communities to participate in book readings during Black History Month, its impact on students and communities who participate, and the books Brown enjoyed reading with her family. |
