Abstrakt: The turbulence parameters received with the use of a lidar are compared with the parameters derived from the average values of wind speed and air temperature in the surface atmospheric layer. The structural constant of the air refractive index is retrieved from the ratio of the turbulent lidar returns in the surface air layer when working along a slightly slanted sounding path. A technique for determining the kinetic energy dissipation rate from lidar data is tested. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
