Transportation in urban public transport takes into account the regional characteristics of the industry. In order to create the maximum conditions for state support of enterprises engaged in transportation in urban public transport, it is advisable that urban public transport be in municipal or state ownership. To do this, it is advisable to abandon the services of private carriers and reengineer urban public transport. The reengineering of urban public transport will make it possible to create favorable conditions for the replacement of polluting buses with internal combustion engines with eco-friendly, electric-powered buses. Thus, thanks to the reengineering of urban public transport, it will be possible to improve the environmental situation in the city. The reengineering of urban public transport will make it possible to increase the level of road safety, reduce traffic jams and improve the quality of passenger service. The reengineering of urban public transport makes it possible to radically change the nature of business processes in society, but its implementation requires the political will of local authorities.
