Abstrakt: The article reports that the therapeutic efficiency of 16 anti-microbial agents were examined against Cryptosporidium infections in mice. Cryptosporidium, a protozoan parasite, has recently been shown to be associated with enterocolitis in a number of mammalian species. Cryptosporidium infection can cause serious illness in young calves, but field outbreaks which tend to occur in older calves result in diarrhea with low mortality. Three inocula of Cryptosporidium (a, b and c) were used in this experiment, all of which were derived from a field outbreak of diarrhea in calves.
