Abstrakt: We have considered two perfectly joined homogeneous elastic half-space model, upper half space is taken as isotropic and lower half-space is taken as an orthotropic. A line source embedded in the upper half-space results in a vertical dip-slip fault. In this paper, analytic expressions for stresses caused by a vertical dip-slip fault are obtained. These results are numerically discussed with the help of graph lines and 3-D mesh grids using dimensionless approach. For graphical representations, we have taken lower half-space made up of Topaz and Barytes as orthotropic materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
