An introduction to articles published within the issue is presented, including one on the management of peri-implantitis by bonding a nanobiopolymer to a titanium (Ti) alloy surface tested for antimicrobial activity, another which demonstrated the feasibility to coat titanium with bioglass and that the treatment could promote a regenerative environment around dental implants, and another on the potential implications for clinical use of engineered nanotubules on Ti surfaces. |
