Abstrakt: Delayed temporal lobe hemorrhage after initiation of acyclovir in an immunocompetent patient with herpes simplex virus-2 encephalitis: a case report. In HSE presenting with hematoma, MRI may help differentiate HSE from mimics of temporal lobe hemorrhages (Table 1) [[5]]. 2 MRI findings at presentation and posthospitalization follow-up. (a) The presenting MRI T2 FLAIR sequence demonstrates expansile hematoma in the right temporal lobe with mass effect on the brainstem. Sequential images of the right temporal hematoma demonstrate gradual hematoma worsening until craniotomy, hematoma evacuation, and temporal lobectomy. [Extracted from the article]
