Objective: The purpose of this study is to meta-analyze articles on the productivity of faculty members in order to summarize the status of the latest scientific achievements in this field, identify the strengths and weaknesses of articles in this field and provide suggested solutions to improve future research in this field. Methods: The present research method is qualitative meta-analysis. In this method, 54 scientific articles related to the productivity of faculty members in the last two decades, from 2001 to 2021, from the scientific sources of "Noor Specialized Journals Database", "Comprehensive Humanities Portal", "University Jahad Scientific Database" and " The country's publications Database" were identified and extracted. The extracte articles were studied and 40 of the most relevant ones were selected for meta-analysis. Results: The findings indicate that the articles focus more on individual and intraorganizational factors affecting the productivity of faculty members. The predominant methodological approach in these articles is quantitative. Most articles lack a strong theoretical approach and policy recommendations, and the dominant approach in policy recommendations is a macro and managerial approach. The articles reviewed were relatively good in terms of indicators such as questions, objectives, and hypotheses; But the conclusion section in most of the articles lacked sufficient order and coherence and operational strategies. Conclusion: By conducting this research, it was found that the status of domestic scientific research in the field of productivity of faculty members in terms of nine indicators is not relatively favorable. The number of qualitative and in-depth researches in this field is very small and almost none of them have theoretical bases and practical solutions and are not used in practice. On the other hand, the issue of faculty productivity is one of the key and important issues in the higher education system, which requires planning to improve future research in this field.
