The musculocutaneous nerve (MCN) is the terminal branch of the lateral cord of the brachial plexus, and emerges at the inferior border of pectoralis minor muscle. The nerve can interact with the median nerve (MN), adhering to the nerve and sharing fibers with it. During anatomical dissection of twelve cadavers, we have detected a rare variation of the anastomosis between MCN and MN. The knowledge of this anatomical variation could be of great relevance during surgical and clinical practices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
