The European Public Prosecutor's Office was established in October 2017 on the basis of Council Regulation (EU) 2017/1939 implementing enhanced cooperation for the purpose of establishing the European Public Prosecutor's Office. The adoption of the regulation required several significant changes at the level of the national legal order and brought new actors into the process of investigation and prosecution of perpetrators of crimes damaging the financial interests of the European Union. In the article, the author discusses the creation of the European Public Prosecutor's Office with a focus on the most important documents in the process of creating the European Public Prosecutor's Office and analyzes the position, structure, organization and authority of the European Public Prosecutor's Office.
