Abstrakt:	The article reports that the Student Organization for Black Unity (SOBU) had a rather primary orientation toward the student sector of the Black Community. Topics include SOBU transitioned from being solely a ‘student' based organization to an activist organization that evolved to include ‘youth' in the fold of Black activism; and Pan-Africanist collective aimed at assuming the mantle of being the vanguard Black student organization.
