One of the strongest theses of the development of the Brazilian revolution is the logic of the revolution in stages. Luciano Martins's "Aspectos políticos da revolução brasileira" approaches the Brazilian revolution as "the revolutions of countless countries today engaged in development efforts corresponding to the historical process through which - although in other circumstances and in substantially different ways - all countries currently established as world powers have already passed" (205). Sachs focuses on the participation of the Brazilian revolution in a world revolution beginning with the "formation of the revolutionary party of the Brazilian proletariat" (354 and 358).
