Nanotechnology is a discipline that has expanded rapidly into all fields, including health care, and it offers valuable options for solving hard-to-manage medical problems. The application of nanotechnology in periodontics is denoted as Nanoperiodontics. Nanotechnology-based devices and materials have demonstrated promising efficacy in the prevention, diagnosis and management of the periodontal disease. This review paper focuses on the current status of nanotechnologybased approaches for periodontal therapy and the futuristic use of nanorobotics as well.
