Properties of graphene coated nonwoven composite materials were studied. Graphene was added in polyvinylidene fluoride solution with high polymerization degree to prepare coating solution. Graphene coated nonwoven composite materials were prepared by wet formation and dry formation. Found by electron microscope observation, functional coating obtained by dry formation was more densified and with partial graphene slice exposing to surface compared with wet formation coating. Mechanical properties test showed that nonwoven base provided strong support for composite material. Conductive property and electromagnetic shielding test showed conductivity and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness were both increased as increase of graphene content. Moreover, conductivity and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of samples prepared by dry method were both larger than those of samples prepared by wet method. In frequency range of 1 GHz~18 GHz, electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of nonwoven composite material prepared by dry method overall showed some fluctuation and it was obviously higher than that of nonwoven composite material prepared by wet method. The highest was reached 40.5 dB. It is considered that the coating method in the study is simple, conductivity and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of coated nonwoven composite material are higher. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
