Justification of the choice of optimal technological modes of welding using calculation technique based on the devel- opment of an effective mathematical model of thermal processes is one of the important tools for ensuring the strength of welded joints by welding high-strength steels at low temperatures. Calculation formulas derived from the representation of instantaneous heat sources agree with experimental data with sufficient accuracy. Based on the results of the work carried out, an analytical solution was obtained for calculating the thermal cycle of welding of steel plates during welding with heating, including at low ambient temperatures. The dependencies of the cooling process between the sheet thickness, the length of the welded joint, the power of the heater, the heating temperature and the environment during welding have been established.
