The problem of the response of a porous ice plate to a moving load is considered. The load is modeled by a smooth localized pressure distribution. The porosity of ice is modeled by the adding the rate of the penetration of liquid into the plate in the kinematic condition. The problem is considered within the linear theory of hydroelasticity. The problem is solved using Fourier transform along the plate. The effect of the porosity on the hydroelastic waves generated by the load is studied. It is shown that amplitudes and wavelengths strongly depends on the porosity of ice. In general the porosity has the damping effect. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
