Abstrakt: The article presents information on some of the evidence for the maturity of peripheral adrenergic nerves in new born guinea pigs. The administration of 6-hydioxydopamino to new-born rats und mice resulted in a permanent sympathectomy of peripheral tissues. The present article provides histochemical and pharmacological evidence that the peripheral adrenergic nerves in guinea pigs, unlike rats and mice, are well developed at birth.
