Electroluminescent method of subcell IV characteristics determination in multi-junction solar cells.

Abstrakt: An electroluminescent method for determining the IV characteristics of subcells in multi-junction solar cells has been experimentally investigated. The method makes it possible to determine the coefficients L0 for sub-elements, which determine the relationship between the voltage at the p-n junction and the intensity of electroluminescence. The method is based on determining the voltage and subcells' electroluminescence intensity under conditions when one of the subcells is in the short-circuit current mode. Applying the method is substantiated theoretically and studied experimentally on a prototype double-junction solar cell. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
