Investigates liver damage in mice and rats caused by albitocin, a triterpenoid glycoside extracted from the bark of Albizia gummifera. Nuclear enlargement and cytoplasmic fatty infiltration in the milder form of the lesion; Necrosis in severely affected animals; Presence of periodic acid-Schiff-positive, spherical bodies in the cytoplasm of the injured cells. |
