The article discusses the study based on the 2015 Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance Survey in which the researchers have found that food insecurity and intra- and interpersonal variables, including student relationships, physical activity, and breakfast consumption have a significant negative impact on the mental health of middle school children. It emphasizes improving mental health by initiating programs in and outside the schools that provide the opportunity for connection and support. |
