Abstrakt: This article explores developing a smartphone application, an app, to enable improved contact tracing to prevent the spread of infections. Topics include the key components of a digital contact tracing app- privacy-preserving systems, integration of the app into both the smartphone’s operating system and the public health system, and the challenges in app deployment.
