Examines the antibody responses of rufous night herons and little egrets following infection with Murray Valley encephalitis and Kunjin viruses. Detection of hemugglutinin-inhibiting antibodies; Observation that neutralizing antibody development paralleled that of H1 antibodies; Possibility of determining with which virus a bird had been infected from the pattern of cross-reaction with the antigens. |
