Abstrakt: | An acquired brain injury (ABI) refers to all injuries after birth, and traumatic brain injuries (TBI) are a form of ABI resulting from when a sudden trauma causes damage to the brain. Both result in a range of neurological, cognitive, and emotional factors that can contribute to the perception of pain. This article serves to help life care planners by exploring common pain, classification and assessment of pain, and pain management treatment modalities for people with brain injuries.
