The article presents information on a study which investigates the contribution of perceptual skills to intellectual functioning in a retarded population by comparing scores on the Frostig Developmental Test of Visual Perception with Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) results. Sixty-five educable retardates attending public school special education classes were administered the Frostig Test and the WISC. The subjects were divided into high perceiver and low perceiver groups on the basis of Frostig Test PQ scores. |
