The article examines whether the addition of on-site training enhances the effectiveness of structured learning therapy to modify behavior. One hundred and twenty chronic inpatients were recruited with the assistance of ward psychiatrists and nurses and agreed to participate. The age range was 19-72 the sexes were represented almost equally and diagnoses were mixed. The groups were compared to each other on all measures on a total of 65 variables. The 65 ANOVAs yield 15 instances in which significant differences were obtained. |
