In the simplest of terms, the Internet is a tool for communication from one computer to another. When thought of as a tool, the usefulness of this network becomes apparent. It allows quick, economical communication of information to individuals and large groups of people connected to the internet. It also makes available a staggering amount of information on virtually every imaginable subject. The most common uses of the Internet are electronic mail and information and resource retrieval. These are applications that are considered in this article with specific focus on their use for advocacy in health education. |
