They use the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database to identify 52031 patients diagnosed with MDS between the years 2004 and 2016 with data available to identify them as either NHB, NHW, or white. Although survival outcomes were superior in Hispanics and NHB, significant barriers were identified that may have precluded these patients from achieving their best possible outcomes.
