The article presents the case of a 56-year-old man with long-term polyarticular tophaceous gout who was presented with atraumatic subacute severe cervical pain with painful mobility limitations in all planes to discuss the use of dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) in a multiple microcystalline arthropathy setting. Based on DECT results, he could be suffering from monosodium urate (MSU) deposition. |
